Here’s how it works.
1. Tell yarn anything.
Your child says what they want in their yarn – an animal, a character, an event, an emotion, or anything else that’s on their mind. They can do this on their own, or with your help.

And don’t worry if your child likes testing boundaries: yarn can redirect even the cheekiest suggestions and spin up engaging, age-appropriate tales.
2. Yarn spins a story in conversation with your child.
Based on your what your child says, yarn’s AI narrator spins up a beautiful illustration and reads part of their story aloud.
At the end of the snippet, the narrator invites your child to speak or type to continue the story – with whatever characters and plot twists they can dream up.
This continues for several turns, when the story will come to a satisfying end.
3. Build storyworlds with favourite characters.
Yarn automatically saves your child’s storybooks in their library so they can relisten whenever they want.
At the end of a story, yarn creates a Collection based on the main character – so your child can take them on adventures over the course of multiple stories.
